Wardrobe Planning Time

yeah, I've got a few weeks, roughly 8-10, and if you know how long I procrastinate, you'll know that I need those 8-10 weeks to get my maternity clothes done. I'm using the SWAP (sew with a plan) guidelines you can find them here, http://www.timmelfabrics.com/2008swaprules.htm
and I found this neat little word based chart online somewhere that I've used to plan on. It's broken down into 3 sections, but I think it'll be easier on me, financially, to fill in the chart, then buy all the fabric for each color/print and make those pieces.

I've also been planning out diapers and covers, wipes, and baby layette stuff.

We have decided to forgo the crib, due to a technicality, this baby will not have a room, per se. It will occupy what is currently the playroom, with a pack and play type bed. They have the raised bassinet in them, so it'll be perfect. We haven't decided if we'll wall in that room or build on, either of which won't occur for another couple of years, so I'm not going hog wild on baby furnishings.

We truly thought we were done with Patrick and I donated all of the baby stuff to goodwill. So we're practically starting over :-) It's okay though. I've been granted permission to have fun with it this time. We know the gadgets we HAVE TO HAVE and those that were USELESS, so I'll be making a bunch of the baby's wardrobe and the bedding (done the bedding for all the kids, tho)

We don't know if we're going to find out what Raindrop is or not, so I'll be making a boy coming home suit and a girl. Whichever we don't need, I'm sure I'll know someone who can use it for their baby. Someone at c'moms is always expecting. LOL

Brian is cutting the grass right now, and when he finishes, we'll be going through the storage to pull out the few maternity things I did pack up and keep. They will all need washing, but some may have to be taken to the drycleaners due to musky smells, etc. We'll need to get that done.

Up front, 8 weeks to get maternity clothes sounds like a long time, but when you factor in life, 3 other kids, football, school, the household, and everything else, 8 weeks is like a day. It'll be okay though.

For those wonderin, Raindrop has let mama eat today, and I have taken every opportunity for granted and ATE!

well, y'all, I've gotta run. I'm gonna see what fabrics I have in stash that I may want to use for me or baby, and Hobby Lobby has their knits on sale 30% off this week. Only problem, I'll have mama with me. She'll ask me what I'm making, LOL, that and the lady that works there knows we're expecting and she may say something innocently. (you feeling okay today? have you been sick? etc)

till late, hug those babies!
