Freaky Friday

So, some weird things have been happening around here.

It started last week when i woke up with Niagra Falls in my nose. I NEVER get a cold in July. Weird. Especially weird once I realized it only lasted the first twenty minutes I was awake.

Then, Brian was at the neighbors house and I began to crave whipped cream. I called him crying b/c we didn't have any. He offered to go to Bilo. Kind soul he is. Unfortunately, they were closed.

Then there was the "Oh MY GOD! MY HOUSE IS A WRECK". I've been on a cleaning frenzy.

But all at the same time, I've been just tired and sluggish. No energy at all. I despise the taste of coke, want to eat jalapeno pepper slices by the gallon, and the smell of liquor makes me sick. Well, at least Jack.

A few nights ago, I dreamed I was in Mary Jo's. It's an awesome fabric shop in Gastonia, NC.
I was shopping for the Kwik Sew Baby Sew Book and a bunch of girlie fabrics. Pink Gingham, butterflies, flowers, you name it. I came home and sewed up a bunch of little dresses, and made a cute little ribbon/elastic headband with a cute little rose on the top to match every one of them.

Yesterday, realizing what was up, I gave in and POAS. If anyone remembers, around the fall of last year, a good friend, Becca, told me "You'll be pregnant within the year". Y'all, if Becca Webb tells you you're gonna be pregnant, you better believe it. I secretly laughed at her every month since them that I started. Y'all, I'm not laughing this morning. I'm a little scared, I'm a little nervous. Only a dear friend and my youngest babe know.

I had Patrick tell his Daddy last night, "I'm not the baby anymore". Well, Daddy thought he said "I'm not A baby anymore" and responded with "Yes, you're a big boy". Oh well for that.

I'm scared to death about this, and since only my web friends read here, I feel safe talking here. I don't think anyone reads here that will tell Brian before i get the chance, like on facebook.

There are a lot of things we've got to get into order in the short nine months this little raindrop is going to give us, but Tara's famous "how big is your God" keeps coming back to mind. As Katie said, "God will sustain me".

Our raindrop will be joining us in the real world sometime around April sixth, if my calculations serve me correct. So, yup, I'm four weeks and a few days. I know when it happened, but I don't know when I ovulated. See there's this thing called no "mood" and then this thing called "this one time" so I know when he/she was concieved, and that's what I'm going by. I also know I tested three days ago and got a negative, then a positive yesterday, confirming that when I know, is when it happened. Okay, so within what three days, LOL. Don't ask me my LMP. I have no clue.

I'm asking you all to pray for Brian as I tell him. I do not know how he will take the news. I don't think he'll be mad, but now is not the best time, in our minds, even though I KNOW it's a God thing. We were taking precautionary measures. I also ask that you all keep me in your prayers as i adjust to this, and start 'takin care of bitniz' as they say, in ways of household stuff that's got to be done soon.
One more thing, keep our little raindrop in your prayers. I have had a few maragrita's in the past few weeks and I've also (at different times) taken Ibuprofen. I know they say that it's okay if you don't know yet, but when you find out to stop, but I still worry.

Well, with no further ado, here's the proof. Taken 17 DPO.

Well, y'all, I guess that's all for now! Take Care, and thanks for reading!

Groovy Tuesday

So the dog has fleas again, and I, being the one who actually likes to sleep and not stay up all night scratching, slept in the floor last night. My back hurts like the dickens, I'm tired, and I could stomp someone in the ground (probably snoopy and his daddy, at this point :-) ) But it's been a really super productive day.

The kitchen is cleaned, bill station is straightened and no longer a clutter hot spot.

The kids were fed breakfast and lunch ON TIME, and they're now resting.

Second load of laundry is in washer, will be hung out to dry once finished.

We had yummy egg salad sandwiches and tossed salad for lunch. I can't believe how my kids LOVE egg salad. Gabe isn't crazy about it, but the littles, oh, it's one of the best things since Mama, LOL. Made sure to save some for Daddy to take to work tomorrow for lunch if he wants to. (he may eat it tonight, who knows)

Just wanted to get on here and update for the day. Gonna go clean out my cabinets in the kitchen. I know I have lids to all those tupperware containers. When I get to the glass cabinet, we're pairing down on those. I have a double cabinet with a center shelf for my glasses. with the center post and the shelf, it divided into 4. I'd like to organize those things into
1. lowballers/juice glasses (8)
2. Tea glasses (10)
3. Coffee Mugs & Travel Mugs (10 mugs, 5 travel)
4. Kid's cups (6)

I also need to get crackin' on some napkins. I suppose I need 5 per set, and a set for 3 meals, plus one extra, so 4 sets, 20 napkins, total. I'd love to find some really nice, soft, purple flannel to do them with. I have some remnants of a dinosaur flannel that I'm thinking of making smaller napkins with for the kids.

You know what else I want? I want an apron to match my kitchen. I KNOW I have some fabric leftover from the recent decorate, but I can't for the life of me remember where I put it.

Well, the cabinets aren't gonna clean themselves!

Take Care, God Bless and kiss those babies!

Just another manic Monday.

We got up this morning and managed to get the little boys to my mom's house for a pizza party. Nothing major, just my parents and the little guys, he he. They loved it.

Gabe and I went to the grocery store and then Chic-Fil-Lay for kids meals afterward. On the menu this week;
Breakfast: Alternating oatmeal and pankcakes (depending on mood, not day, LOL)

Lunch:
M- Kids at Mimi's, me and Gabe had Chic-fil-lay
T- Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
W- Egg Salad Sandwiches
R- Burritos and Veggies

DINNER
M-7 layer Salad with Tortilla chips
T-Grilled Cheesy Chicken with grilled veggies
W-Ham, Corn and Green Peas (yeah, two starches, but it fits too well, LOL)
R-Tex-Mex Taco Dinner (It's a hamburger helper type thing, but not from a box, really good looking, if you ask me.)

All of the dinner recipes are from past issues of Kraft Food & Family. It's a free mag from Kraft that I LOOOOOOOOOOVE!

When we went back to my mom's to pick the little guys I was sitting in the swing with my mom when I felt some bug of sorts light on my arm. I kinda flinched a little to shoo it away when I realized it was a yellow jacket. Of course, I ticked him off, so he stung me. My arm is very sore, and I have a cute little blotch of red on it. I keep having muscle spasms in my arm, but doc said it was normal from the pain. As long as my chest doesn't tighten up or the spasms spread, I should be ok, just to take Benadryl.

Now, we're at home, in the midst of nap/rest time. Gabe is pestering me to find him a particular under armor shirt that to be quite frank honest, I think looks terrible on him. he's not cut to wear things like that, I try to keep him from them for his own emotional security yet everyone else just lets him wear them, looking like a tick that's about to bust. Ugh. It's a never ending battle of the x'es that THANK GOD will be over in 9 years.

Well, I'm off to take Gabe to be fit for football uniform, so take care, God bless!

Catching You UP!

yeah, it's been nine months since my last post. I could have had a baby in that time, but I promise, Patrick's still holding fast as the youngest of the brood. :)

In those nine months, all three children have presented various health issues. Gabe is battling his weight even more so now than ever. We're awaiting a sleep study in August, and then will begin, hopefully, working with a nutritionist/dietitian.

Bri has finally gotten in with a psychologist, his first appt. will be this week, on Thursday.

Patrick is just having some emotional issues, similar to Bri's, and we're still balancing on a fence to decide if it's mirroring Bri or if he has problems, as he is otherwise okay. He feeds off of Bri, so we tend to lean toward mirroring.

At the end of baseball season this year, Gabe was drafted to play first base for the All Star team for our rec. He shared first base with another player, so he didn't get an entire game in, but he was so proud to be an All Star ballplayer. I'm very proud of him too! We will start football next week! Not sure if I'm excited or nervous, or a little of both.

Brian and I are starting to plan our renewal ceremony. It will be in January of 2012. That means I have just over two years to plan it. I need it, the way I change my mind, LOL. We can't decide where, what time, what color, or any of that. Gosh, do I really want to do this? Ugh. Of course I do. I can't wait to marry the man of my dreams AGAIN! He just doesn't understand why he's doing it again. I told him, at least it's the same woman. Jokingly, he said he's not sure if that's a good thing or not. Either way, I know he's excited, maybe not about a wedding, but he's definately excited about the ten year mark. I can't believe it's been that long.

On the homefront, the dryer element burned out about three months ago, and it's not been a big priority to fix it, so I'm still hanging clothes out and taking some of them to the laundromat. It's nice to get a few minutes of me time at the laundromat. It reminds me of that episode of King of the Hill (yeah, I'm a fein for that show) where Didi throws G.H. at Cotton and says "you have to take the baby. I need me time. To do the laundry". I seriously think of that every time I go up there, and thank God for giving me a husband who is willing to watch the kids for me to do something as simple as dry clothes. Seriously, i do nothing. The hour I'm there, I read a book. Needless to say, we're not fixing the dryer, :-)

The kitchen remodel is complete and I'm currently working on Gabe and Patrick's room. It will be orange with purple trim and decorated with Clemson University decor'. After their room, Bri's room and the boys' bathroom will follow. The rest of the house to be done by goal date of February 2010.

Okay, so you're caught up, for the most part. Now for the cool thing. I've put an alarm into my phone. It will wake me up every morning to get on here, have my internet time, blog, check email and all that before the day begins. I'm trying to give up day time internet, and will be on here once in the morning and once at night. Obviously longer periods at night. So, for those of you who follow, I'm hoping to keep more updates on here.

Oh, and look for pictures of projects to come up soon!

Take Care, God Bless and as always, kiss your babies tonight
