some past projects...

The first few things are "new", but some toward the end are just things I've done over the course of the summer/fall so far. they're on the old blog, but since we have the email addy issues, yeah, I just reposted them here. Enjoy, and thanks for looking

These are the orbit gum packs for Gabe's teachers. I'm also gonna do a couple of other things for them, too, just not sure what.

A graduation card from last year (c/o 08)
This was a sympathy card for my uncle.

Similar one for my deceased aunt's sister

the slider that was on a throw we bought for our cousin's wedding. Flipped it over and decorated it instead a of card.

CC187 Chocolate Tangerine Kisses

Last week's (yeah, still a week behind) Color Combo challenge was Chocolate, Tangerine, and Old Olive. I didn't have any of those colors, but did need a masculine thank you card, and thought I could do similar colors with what I had.

The base is NOT black, it is brown, it's just one of those browns that you have to hold "just right" or it does look black. It's simple, nothing major, but it served it's purpose in life, and fullfilled the challenge.

Have a Great Day!!!!

SCS TLC Challenge 189 Mini Pizza Box

So the TLC challenge last Monday was a mini pizza box. Now, I'd always wondered when I'd need one. They seemed so "useless" to me. But, hey, I've got a rambunctious 8 year old, and two toddlers who are all boys. BOYS. Why? Tell me Why? would I ever need a cutsie little box made from cardstock. Heavy Metal with a lock and key, maybe. Cardstock? Nah.

Then, though, my mother will never accept payment for watching the kids, nor, would I honestly offer it. They're her grandchildren and she's retired. Now, if she watched them every day forever, maybe, but they go for invited visits, so it doesn't count, and the occasional time me and the B get to get out and enjoy ourselves. Anywho, I do small things for her. I've been making crafts for that woman for years. (24 to be exact). and ya know what, she's still got every.single.one.of.them. ALL OF THEM! That's love.

so, with her in mind, I made her the dainty little box. It's cute, it fit the challenge, and it's SO her.
I also made a few 3x3 cards to put into it. B/c after all, what's the point in getting an empty box???

Oh, BTW, you can find the challenge, other stamper's creations, and directions and stuff here.

Without Further Ado:
I used a sheet of card stock from Best Occasions "weddings" kit for the the box. The butterfly is a sticker from the same kit that I adhered to grey card stock, cut out and folded up, using 3-d spots to "lift" him off of the box, and kindof bent the wings up a bit. Put the white with pink trim ribbon from front to back, and the "E" on the largest flower's center for my mom's name.

The paper on the cards are just dp from hobby lobby, and the stamps are all $1 stamps from Michaels, accept the cupcake and it's from Inkadinkadoo. The inside of the cupcake says "Sweetest Birthday Wishes", the wedding Card says "congratulations" and the baby card simplys says "baby".
